Health Care
The school places great importance on health and safety of the students. Suitably qualified nurse takes care of the medical needs throughout the school day. The medical centre maintains high standards of hygiene and well documented system of students’ health records.
Cafeteria
Our school canteen is a great place that promotes an enjoyment of healthy eating. It serves balanced and nutritious vegetarian snacks. The menu planned through the week ensures a balanced healthy eating pattern keeping in mind that food provided at school has a considerable influence on development of children’s long term eating habits.
Classrooms
At SBGJ, every classroom has display and writing boards, lockers for students, custom made furniture and multi-media support. They are all spacious and have been designed to optimise natural light and ventilation. Specially designed modern ergonomic furniture ensures that pupils do not suffer fatigue.
Laboratories
The school has well-equipped laboratories for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics with state-of-the-art instruments to ensure mastery of Science subjects and facilitate the learning programmes. Our lab equipments allow the children to interact directly with the data gathered and get a first hand learning experience by performing various experiments on their own.
The school also has two well equipped Computer labs with a variety of latest software, internet connection and modern multimedia technology to enable optimum learning with the help of audio visual aids. Specialist rooms for Social Science and Languages facilitate the teaching-learning experiences of these subjects.
Learning centre: Senior
The school has large library well stocked with books on variety of subjects. Reference books on diverse disciplines- from pure sciences to forestry, from environment studies to literature and drama, from epic to best sellers- are available to keep the children abreast of happenings around the world. Rich collection of journals, magazines, movies, computer software and audio recordings keep the children engaged and inculcate in them the love for knowledge.
Art Room
Our school’s Art and Craft programme connects creativity and innovation at an early stage of children’s development. The programme is planned to build skills, develop competence and provide resources that support creative learning to our students. Most importantly it gives the children the chance to use their imagination. The two art and craft rooms provide opportunities for drawing, painting, craft, origami, designing, clay work and other activities.
Yoga
‘A place where peace prevails’. In the hustle and bustle of different school activities, a place where children naturally calm down is the Yoga room. The room requires no equipment or furniture except for positive vibrations and a non- material ambience helping the children dive into the depth of their minds through different ‘asanas’.
Multi- purpose Auditorium
The air- conditioned acoustically engineered multi-purpose auditorium on the ground floor provides an elegant, functional and versatile space for assemblies, events, workshops, movie shows and gathering of all kinds as well as a variety of indoor games and activities.
Life Skill Lessons
At SBGJ, we emphasise helping students develop essential life skills so that they are better prepared for the opportunities and responsibilities and experiences in life. All the students engage in an active, planned life skills programme. Here, students are nurtured and encouraged to develop an independent ideology, optimistic approach, enabling him/her deal effectively with he demands and challenges of everyday life.
