Eight of our talented students have excelled in their Trinity College London Drums Exams.
Grade I: Krishnanshu Deka, Kaushav Paul, and Parvez Tanveer Rahman achieved First Division with Merit, while Jaideep Kashyap and Anubhav Kalita clinched Distinctions.

Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti, Guwahati students made an impressive mark at the Faculty Higher Secondary School Literary Fest 2024.
Rumana Ganguly secured the First Position in Poem Recitation, followed by Naisha Gogoi with the Second Position. Anahita Chelleng won the Third Position in Creative Writing, while Khyati Baruah received a Consolation Prize in Cosplay.

A TARGET SET, PRECISE AND STRONG!
Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti, Guwahati celebrated the remarkable achievements of two of its standout athletes in a special ceremony today.
Himashree Kalita, Class IV, an accomplished shooter who trained at the Assam Rifle Association, earned multiple medals in shooting, including a prestigious Gold in the under-16 category.
Equally impressive, R.S. Rayna Kashyap, a talented Class V student, made her mark in archery, in recurve category, clinching Gold at state-level competitions and securing a spot in the National Archery Championship.

The Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti, Guwahati Chess Team demonstrated remarkable prowess at the 2nd Inter School B.N Khaitan Memorial Chess Competition held at Assam Valley School Tezpur on July 18th and 19th, 2023. The team clinched the coveted overall Best School prize, showcasing their strategic brilliance and dedication to the game.
In the Under 19 category, the team secured a dazzling Gold medal, while in the Under 17 category, they achieved a well-deserved Bronze medal. The individual events showcased the exceptional talents within the team:

The Inter School Swimming Championship was held at Delhi Public School, Guwahati on 25th and 26th August, 2017. Around 250 swimmers from 13 schools participated in the event. Our school got 12 Silver and 4 Bronze medals . The participants are: Dhrupad Sarma (under 19 boys ): 1 Silver Medal in 50mts butterfly and 1 Bronze Medal in 50mts Freestyle stroke. MISSION XI MILLION FOOTBALL FESTIVAL IN GUWAHATI.
|
A football festival was organized by All India Football Federation (AIFF) throughout India. There were about 500 participants from all over Assam. Twenty students from our school participated in the event. Three students namely Prahast Garg (Class VII ), Hirak ( Class VIII) and Raneel Islam ( Class VIII) got selected for Adidas agility test among the top 15 players. From which 5 students were selected for the next level. Prahast Garg got selected for the next level. He secured the no 1 position and got a gift voucher worth Rs 6,700 from Adidas. All the students got a certificate and the top 15 got a football for participating in the event.

Exposure Trip to Delhi by the School Cricket Team

The school Cricket Team of Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti had gone for an exposure trip to Delhi from 22nd March to 30th March. The team was led by Subham Agarwal and accompanied by Wahid Basir Ahmed ( Cricket coach ) and Manab Medhi ( Roller Skating Coach ). The trip was a memorable one. The team had played 6 matches out of which they won 4. The leading run scorer was Priyanshu Barua and the leading wicket taker was Subham Agarwal. The children gained a lot of experiences from this trip.

The debating team from our school took part in the 11th East India Debate held in Assam Valley School. The team comprised of Arshia Amin Choudhary (class XII), Riddhiman Barooah (class IX), Bishakha Jajodia and Abhijit Hessa (both class XI). The members of the team performed brilliantly with Bishakha winning the best speaker in the preliminary round, Abhijit Hessa winning the most promising speaker in the Quarters and Arshia Amin Choudhary winning two best speaker and two most promising speaker awards in the entire competition. The team went on to the semis but lost to Vasant Valley School, Delhi by a margin of just 9 points. Altogether it was a good experience for the students with a brilliant exposure and a chance to debate with the most renowned schools of India.
