STUDENTS ACHIEVEMENT IN AFS INDIA COMPETITION, 2023
Everyone
can experience the joy and blessing of generosity; because everyone hassomething to give.
With this motto, the students of our
school participated in an Inter - School Competition on community service organized
by Rajmata Krishna Kumari Public School, Jodhpur (Under the aegis of
AFS India) with the theme- Joy Of Sharing.
A team of five students (three boys and two girls along with two teachers
took to deal with a very sensitive project,
Happy Periods. They visited two
shelter homes- an orphanage of girls and a rehabilitation centre for rape victims.The goal was to raise
awareness about menstrual hygiene and break taboos surrounding menstruation. The
students interacted with the girls reminding them that periods are a natural
and normal part of life that should not be stigmatized or tabooed. While
educating them on menstrual hygiene and sharing menstrual products and food
packets with them.
A video was uploaded on 30th
July, reflecting all the stages of the activity right from inception to the
work achieved. On 19th August, the results were declared and our
school bagged the 1st position among 53 schools across India. The
organizers described our project as- Outstanding Performance.
