On 14 August 2024, the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti, Guwahati, jointly conducted a special Educators Round table Workshop on the theme, Mainstreaming Education on Peace, Global Goals and the Rule of Law in Classrooms at the school auditorium which was attended by the educators and students across the city.
The Roundtable was a part of RiseUp4 Peace - an innovative educational initiative spearheaded by the UNODC, in partnership with esteemed educator collaborators across India and abroad.
The programme was co-chaired by Mr. Samarth Pathak, Communication Head (South Asia) and Regional Focal Point ( Education), UNODC and Dr. Satya Bhushan, International Relations Division, NCERT.
