On 12th of August Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti had an Inter-House patriotic song competition. The judges namely Brighu Kashyap, Priyam Borpatra Gohain and Manish Goswami were extremely satisfied with the performance. The participating classes were class V, VI and VII. The house mistress did a lot of hard work to put up the show. The participating houses were- Prithvi , Vayu , Agni and Jal. Each house performed to their fullest of efforts but where there is a competition there has to be a winner. And for this competition the winner was Vayu-House which pulled a brilliant song “Aye Watan Tere Liyeâ€. Not only songs we also had children from classes II paying tribute to our beloved freedom fighters who gave their lives fighting for our freedom.
On the 15th of August our school participated in the parade organized by the DC Kamrup(Rural) and later the flag hosting was done at the school by our Principal Ma’am.
